Sorry for the delay....

There has been a delay in posting once again as Aidan is renovating the office, which holds the computer that has all my photo software on it. I do have a bunch of pictures to show you, and I don't really want to tell you about all of the stuff that has been going on without the pictures to go along with it!!! Hopefully he'll have most of it done by the end of the weekend.

The kids have started swimming lessons again, and Owen actually put his whole head under the water to retrieve something from the bottom of the pool. Unbelievable! He's starting to get more comfortable in the pool, and LOVES his class. He has a big grin on his face from the start to the end of his lesson. Maeghan is doing really well too, she is working really hard on her swimming, and is almost swimming on her own! Last session she kept trying to race the other kids by running in order to beat them instead of swimming, so we had to remind her that she was there to learn to swim, not to race, and that she should concentrate on that! She did very well last night, and really tried hard.

I have been working like a mad woman on various projects, most of which I cannot talk about! I did finally cast on for Rusted Root last night, but I had to rip it out, I must have been tired because I had already screwed up by row 2! Oh well, I'll try again today. I have the day home by myself (yipee!), but I do have an awful lot of stuff to get done. I'm meeting some friends for lunch, and I have to get the shopping done before the weekend. I also need to do some cleaning, so I'm not sure how much farther Rusted Root will get today, but I'll try to get a little bit done.

We are heading over to Conor and Holly's tomorrow afternoon for a visit, and then I have been invited to a............well, how can I put it nicely...................a special party for women only.....similar to Tupperware, but dirtier, if you catch my drift. I've never been to one of those parties before, and I'm a little nervous that I'll be red and embarrassed the whole time! And when I'm embarrassed my eyes tear up (which is extremely annoying), so I guess I better wear waterproof mascara and bring some tissue. Although, I will also be bringing a bottle of wine, so that should help a bit!

Take Care and have a great weekend! I'll hopefully have pictures for next week.

Maeghan's Birthday And Some Other Stuff

I can finally post some pictures from Maeghan's birthday. Here is the cake that I made:

(Sorry the pics are a little dark...I was too lazy to edit them!)

Not too exciting, but there was a couple of important features that Maeghan insisted were on the cake.....her name......a four leaf clover......and green icing (we had her party on St. Patrick's Day). Voila! That's what she got. I wasn't too imaginative this year because I was scrambling to decorate it the morning of her party since I worked all week and didn't have time otherwise.

She loved it and that is all that matters! We had a party with some of her friends from both the complex and school, and we made some masks as a craft...then, rather than playing games I let them run hog wild in the basement. It was CRAZY! I should have taken an after picture of the basement. It looked like a bomb went off. We finally cleaned it up last weekend...a full two weeks after her party. I couldn't face it before then!

A week later we had a family party on her real birthday. She had a lot of fun tearing open the packages from Oma and Granny. But when it came time for blowing out her candles....

Owen beat her to it!!!!

Not a happy girl....so Daddy re-lit the candles...

And she tried again....

We've had some nice weather lately, so finally the kids have been able to play outside. Owen just goes and goes...he loves riding his bike, I won't be surprised at all if the training wheels come off this year...hopefully for Maeghan too!

He will be the next NHL star in our family, I'm sure!

However, he will need to stop doing this:

(Disclaimer: The following photo may not be suitable for all viewers. Parental supervision is strongly recommended!)

Or they may not let him in! It's Lester the Molester!!! Doesn't he look creepy? He called me into the bathroom the other day because he was so proud of what he had done. Apparently in his world mascara belongs on your eyebrows. I told him we would have to try and wash it off, and he said "Why? I like it!" His poor little face was raw after the scrubbing it took to get it off!

So I think we've caught up a little bit. I'm working on a few more projects right now, but unfortunately I can't post them yet because I don't want anyone to see them.

My next project for me will be this:

as soon as the yarn comes in. Hopefully I'll have wrapped up a few other things in the meantime. Have a great day everyone!

Okay, I suck!

I have been working so hard on all of my projects lately, that I have been really slacking on the posting, and now the computer where I store all of my photos is out of commission while Aidan does some upgrading, so this post will be unfortunately without pictures. I have a whole slew of photos to share, so when everything is back to normal I'll will have a huge post!

We had a wonderful, but short, visit with Ted and Charmaine and the girls on Thursday night as they pass through town on their way to Terrace. We'll catch them again on their way back which I'm pretty stoked about. I can't believe how old the girls are getting. Athena is practically a teenager now, and Hera is not far behind her! Little Isi is just the cutest thing ever. She has a really great personality! So funny.

Well, that's it for now, I don't have a lot to say without the pictures it seems. Hopefully soon.

See ya'll later!

Edited to add:

And a wonderf ul visit with my dear friend Connie who served us a delicious dinner and entertained us with the hockey game, and her growing belly. Kevin was there too.
